MIDIGAMA: the buzzing surf village

Midigama is a hidden gem on the Southern coast of Sri Lanka. Some of the first travelers to discover it were wave-hungry hippies in the 1980's. Famous for world-class waves and beautiful beaches- it attracts adventurous souls from all over the world and the island. Perfectly positioned to explore then entire South Coast, a 20 minute drive north will take you through Ahangama and Kabalana while a 20 minute journey south will take you to Mirissa, through Weligama- and the whole stretch of coast is packed with gorgeous beaches and awesome surf breaks. One of Midigama's charms is the quaint, village atmosphere it has maintained, almost all of the businesses are run independently and there are no big hotel chains (...yet, lets hope it stays that way!) Walk the sleepy streets, greet the friendly locals, buy some fresh organic fruits and vegetables from the nearby market and visit a roti shop for some traditional Sri Lankan food. Yoga, surf, chill, socialize, how are you gonna spend your lanka livin'?

For a wombat couple or some spooning friends :-) A big double bed that only an actual giant would not be able to share. Includes a ceiling fan and a private bathroom with hot shower.

Triple room

For families or friends, 3 well sized wombats can sleep comfortably with: 1 single bed and 1 double bed. It includes a ceiling fan and private bathroom with hot shower.

THE DORM

Our newly built dorm is perfect for sharing the Wombat life with fellow travelers! Its bright and airy, with a super power ceiling fan. It has 8 double size bunkbeds custom made by local carpenters to guarantee you a lot of space and a good night's sleep. The dorm has it's own bathroom and each bed comes with it's own locker to keep your things safe. Book now

Glamping Tents

You're chance to sleep under the stars and enjoy the cool, fresh jungle air in our cozy glamping tents. Equipped with comfy double beds, fans, mosquito nets, lock boxes and coconut rope bedside lamps. We offer 4 private glamping tents and one dorm tent. Book Here

In the morning and evening the chill zones transforms in to a place for our wombats to rejuvenate their furry bodies and minds with yoga class led by our experienced instructor.

Pick up a paddle and get ready for a ping pong showdown. Wombat may have tiny arms, but can really swing a paddle!
