What is food alike?
In our surf house we do have the best Italian pizza restaurant on the island but in Midigama you will also find plenty of options for local food ; you will have a chance to eat rice&curry and not be in hurry 🙂
What if I am a beginner surfer?
In Midigama the best place to learn surfing is Lazy Right. It is a deep reef break. But if you do feel like learning on beach break- Weligama beach is only 5 minute drive away.
Do people go surf together?
Yes. We are a very social place, so it is almost standard that all people go surf together in the morning and in the afternoon. Mirissa
Mirissa surf break- for intermediate and advanced surfers. 20 minute tuk-tuk ride from Midigama. Peeling right-hander over reef. Be careful with sea urchins and do not be afraid to wear reef-boots. Sion is the favourite spot of one of the founder of our hostel. mellow waves suitable for long boards and short boards. Long lefts and long rights.
